Groundwork Minneapolis Past Projects

Glendale Triangle:
Groundwork Minneapolis girl planting flowers
Public Housing had a new VISTA volunteer to help Glendale Terrace residents with gardening projects, and this was a good first project. Public Works moved decorative rocks to the site, a volunteer master gardener designed a planting plan for donated plants, and the NCCC team prepared and planted the site. Residents provided water and weeding.

a project with the Downtown Council to refurbish a deteriorating small park with new landscaping and plantings.
Downtown Parking Lot:
a project to convert a conventional asphalt parking lot into a sustainable model parking lot with rain gardens, so stormwater is retained on site.
Lowell School Site:
a project in the Jordan neighborhood to build a small park, with play equipment, gardens, and possibly an artistic feature, in conjunction with new single family housing on a former elementary school site.
